Did you know The Center has a family-focused program within the Community Center?
Kids Kloset is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to supporting families in need throughout the Prescott Quad-Cities. Thanks to generous donations from our community, we’re able to provide new clothing, shoes, toys, school supplies, and food to families experiencing challenging times.
After witnessing a single mother rush into a school supply giveaway—late from work and out of breath—hoping to gather whatever she could for her children, Kathy knew we, as a community, could do more.
The Center jumped into action, collecting new clothes, shoes, and other essentials for the family. What we gathered may have seemed small, but it was just enough to lift their spirits and remind them they weren’t alone.
Today, a few years later, Kids Kloset has grown into a community-driven program. The Center now partners with local school districts and fellow nonprofits to help meet the needs of families throughout the Prescott Quad-Cities.
Although, the Kids Kloset continues on we need YOUR help. Donations of new clothing, shoes, non-perishable foods, hygiene products, school supplies and toys are always in need. We are also looking for volunteers to help sort/organize the donations once a month.
Interested in donating? Items can be dropped off at The Center front desk Monday-Thursday 8-4pm. Call 928-778-3000 or email kmcfadden@adultcenter.org or mswift@adultcenter.org for a current list of needs.
